Would God allow you to reincarnate if you desired?

OK, here is another unanswerable question to ponder. But first a few initial premises.

      Premise 1: Reincarnation is possible
Premise 2: There is an omnipotent God
Premise 3: You go to heaven when you die

Setup 1: You have lived a good and holy life and when you die, you go to heaven.

Question: If you so desire, would God allow you to re-incarnate into another lifetime?

What are some of the implications?
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

well I believe you get into heaven by faith and not by works.

as for the reincarnating thing, I don't think He'd do that, but that's just what I THINK, I don't really have anything to base this on.

Wait hold on, you wouldn't KNOW that you were reincarnated right? If you could KNOW, then that would be tremendous.

Of course you wouldn't. The hitchhikers guide to the galaxy has a guy who knows all his previous reincarnations and is more pissed off than anything else in the world, he's been a whale, bowl of pentuinas, fly, human, catepillar...He gets so annoyed with dying each time.

I doubt it... and even if you could, I wouldn't come back.

Re incarnate how. As a smarter you, a dog, or your choice? And when you say another lifetime. Do you mean here on earth or anywhere? A duplicate life a never ending life etc.
Anyway I feel if he has a plan in motion he would be opposed if it was not abided by.

He might, but I doubt anyone would want to go back. God will have conditioned us all to stay in heaven rather than to go back to earth, asuming this God is also Omniscient, then he would have made the earth with the knowledge that noone would chose to be reincarnated.

Here's another question. What if there is no hell, but people who don't get to heaven are reincarnated, by the end of the world, all conscious humans make it to heaven, in accordance with God's will.

OK, let's turn up the heat a little.

If you re-incarnate without your memories and fail to get saved that time around, what happens?

You already received eternal life the first time around. Are you "grandfathered in" on the second time around?

I am not sure, but I think most people (or all?) want's to live in heaven, instead of the earth.
By the way; if a man have got a eternal life in heaven, and after very long time he doesn't want to have eternal life longer, could he then "get rid of" his eternal life?
      Are you dreaming?

The grandfather clause is a legal application. I am not so sure that the omnipitant one would abide by our set of rules.
As far as tha memory part. I forgot waht you said!

This one I don't doubt... this one would be a straight up NO!
Since you chose to be reincarnated what you do is your business and you would have to pay for your actions. If it was God's will to reincarnate you then I guess you'd be in the clear.

He could reincarnate you if you wished to, although I personally would not come back. There would be no point for it. Why choose a perfect world where you would be with all of the people that you love(and are dead as well) and in the company of God, for this very imperfect and troublesome existance?

There is nothing down here that you cannot have up there...
      If I hadn't made me
I'd be more inclined to bow
Powers that be would have swallowed me up
But that's more than I can allow...

It is amazing to me to see so many people say that they would not want to come back. If, by your return, you would help one or many (and in doing so help yourself) would you still selfishly choose not to return? Remember, you are viewing life through the cloudy lense of this human machine. Once you are an audience member this play of human drama may not seem so terrible.

I havent thought enough personally about an afterlife to decide whether i believe in it or not, but i have my humble thoughts.

Perhaps reincarnation is a very rare honour, and in the new life, one is gifted with awareness (to a necessary extent) of previous incarnations, or has access to wisdom attained previously? Thus there are people who, should they follow the path that unlocks their gifts, have great insight into the world, are vastly more aware and knowledgable.

Another thin that crossed my mind is an omnipotent figure may not necessarily adhere to our perceived laws of time. As such, could we be reincarnated as someone in this same time period again?
What if we were reincarnated as someone close to us, like a partner or close friend. It would be interesting to perceive your life from an outsider's perspective.

Aren't past, present, and future just part of human perception?
Like you said, God might not adhere to our laws of time/physics.

Using this it would be interesting to think that I could be born in 1889 and become Hitler and not even know, but still doing the things he did. Scary stuff that is.

I believe true love and Jesus' love go hand in hand. That infinite deliverance of it is just so amazing...(just had to say dat!!)

This re-incarnation thing is confusing me!!
It's easier to just believe everyone lives once!

I've heard of phenomenons about enlightened people learning about their past lives...am I skeptical? Yes...ignorant? no! I think it's an interesting concept...

Reincarnation. I suppose while it would be nice to know you can come back again, perhaps without memories of your past life...but think of all the people claming they had been Joan of Arc in a previous life or something. I mean, there's no way to prove it unless we asked god/whoever reincarnated us. And we can't do that yet.
