Wow this topic got bumped from 7 years ago.

I have definitely thought about the possibility of an alternate reality that exists in our own minds when we dream. I don't really believe in it though, it seems a little farfetched. It kind of reminds me of the theory that every possible scenario in our lives is played out in a different way somewhere in a different reality. Which in turn would create an infinite amount of realities. If were dreams really were alt. realities, then are you proposing that everyone creates their own unique reality, or everyone who dreams is based in the same reality? For the former, that would also create another line of infinite realities, which are only accessible to the individual having the dream. If that's the case, then it makes sense that dreamers are able to become lucid, since in a sense, they are the God of their reality.

I tend to believe that dreams are mere reflections of ourselves, and we play out our own fantasies through them. It's easy to address every alternate form consciousness as a reality in itself; when really, it's only specific to the individual. And if only one person can access that said reality (assuming you don't believe in dream sharing) then why would you even classify it an a reality?

Sooo... What exactly is your reasoning when it comes to the 'going to the other dimension' stuff? Is it just a what-if idea? Or do you have some kind of tangible evidence/studies that conclude this stuff?

Because there are perfectly reasonable, scientific theories out there that have studies done, that have evidence supporting their claims, that have absolutely nothing to do with alternate worlds and woo-woo stuff.. So what is the reason, then, that you resort to alternate dimension claims?

      Also: shite.. thread bump..
