what if someone were in both heaven and hell at the same time? think about it: they'd desperately want out of it, but at the same time, they wouldn't want to be anywhere else. wouldn't that be absolutely maddening? would it be worse than hell? or true hell? and in that case, what would heaven be?non-existence...I would think. |

Ignorant bliss is an oxymoron; but so is miserable truth.

This reminds me of the liger. They want to hunt solo like their mothers, the tiger. Yet they want to hunt in a pride like their fathers, the lion. Thus the liger is a depressed and useless species. |

That is depression. |

What this could be is a hell-like environment where, say, a serial killer has gone to due to his spirit vibration and he loves being in the hell-like environment. Be it simply lack of light and absolute pain, or cutting himself over and over again listening to the screams of thousands in some dark house, or perhaps being tortured by some other entity. Yet, like most troubled individuals, they like pain - so as much as they want to get out of there they are still trapped with their addiction. |

On the cutting issue, the physical pain relieves the internal pain so they want to stop but at the same time it's a opiate for their inner pain to be released. |

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
I don't think it relieves internal pain - that sounds like something that makes it better. I think the cutting actually shifts some of their attention away from the internal pain toward the physical pain, which the lesser of the two evils from their point of view. |
