What Sky Saw - a lucid dreaming journal
i just remembered this reading through this thread.did you know that if you have a dream that seems like it lasted ten years or so and you dream every day of that ten years when you wake up you will go insane because your brain can not hold and store that much memory from a single night of sleep? |

That's not correct. Even if a dream had ten years of high density experience, it would not all get stored in memory. And even if it was all stored, the capacity of the human brain is, for all practical purposes, unlimited. Also, whenever the brain gets memory overload it just starts forgetting recent memories. It doesn't "go insane", and that wouldn't make sense anyway. |

But he didn't know if he was Zhuāng Zǐ who had dreamt he was a butterfly, or a butterfly dreaming he was Zhuāng Zǐ. Or, whatever. |

I actually made a thread similar to this one. Maybe I should revive mine since I have new ideas to my theory... |
