      Time and space

I was watching a documentary about time and space, and came across a theory that someone stated - energy cannot be destroyed, or created, and the universe is constantly expanding. so from this you could assume that this will continue to happen, to the point that there would not be enough energy to fuel anything... because energy would be extremely scarce...

from that, here is my question - is time infinite? or is there an end?

Well, I think another part to that theory is that eventually the universe will stop expanding, and begin to shrink again, eventually shrinking back down into one little point, and then expanding again in another Big Bang.

So according to this theory, I guess time would have an end for human beings, but for the universe itself, who keeps expanding and shrinking and expanding again, time just keeps starting over.
This shit never happens to me

      sounds good
so it could be like a giant black hole or something that sucks up everything
      and explodes again
      cool

      No that's the converse hypothesis.

There's two main possibilities: the first is the one you gave in which the gravity of the universe causes it to recollapse on itself in which case time will be finite, and the second is the one the OP gave in which the gravity is not enough and the universe just fizzles out due to the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics (energy turns into useless forms over time), and time is infinite.

Physical evidence strongly suggests the second of the options is the correct scenario.
