      Religion and faith

      Hello again everyone,

Im just curious to know , how many people on this forum are religious and what faith they folow .

I was brought up a Roman Catholic , Now i dont believe in any religon or follow any faith .

I am however feeling more and more spiritual since i have stoped believeing in GOD .

is there a god or did i dream it ?

is this life real ,or a mere mirror of reality .

Lucidity is reality its were our spirit lies .

I was raised Christian but now I'm an atheist. Anyhow, this belongs in the religion forum, doesn't it?

      Change location

I am going to move this in the relgion and spirituality.
I think it would be better suited there.

I was raised in a Protestant-type of religion by non-believers who abused me both physically and spirituality because they did not want to face their own sin. And quite contrary to the stated beliefs of their religion they believed my sin is being born.

I am however feeling more and more spiritual since i have stopped believeing in GOD . [/b]
I have long held the belief that there is a huge difference between being religious and being spiritual. After leaving my birth home and experience some of the good in this world I realized the true nature of my parents. I do not currently claim to be a part of any organized religion. (Still getting over that first 25 years.) But I will from time to time participate in services with friends or family members.

I was raised in a home where God was not mentioned. When I was 17 I was told the gospel of Jesus Christ. About how he died for our sins on the cross, and was resurrected 3 days later. I believed this becuase the spirit of god was upon me and it felt like absolute truth. For me it is. I hope others can humble themselves enough to accept the gift of life and follow God. There is much more to this life than money, material things, and simple pleasures of the flesh. Seek god out with all diligence. Life is much better knowing him. All I ask to unbelievers is that you keep your mind open to anything becuase all things are possible with God. Peace

If anyone is completely satisfied and comfortable with their understanding of reality, then they're doing something wrong.

I wasn't raised as anything, my parents never pushed beliefs on me and I was never taken to Churches, or anything like that. I eventually became a "Christian," or told people I was a Christian even though I disagreed with a lot of things in the Bible that I knew about (I've never read the Bible besides revelations). I've never believed in Creationism, and I don't believe God interacts with the world at all, so my beliefs really fall more on a Deistic (if that's even the word) religion.

As for what the Bible says about dreams, I don't know if it says much of anything. I'm pretty sure it mentions that God delivers messages in dreams, since many people believe that. But, I don't believe that myself.

To tell you the truth, I'm falling between Deism and Agnosticism, I believe, and have been since I was a child, but I aim more towards a Theistic stance than Agnostic or anything else.
