If evolution is not rearing its head with these people, what verse of the Bible is?[/b] Really good evidence for evoultion but you wont get a responce see people who support bible theories will look for evidence that support their theory of confirmation biased and would ignore you. Well as they say Ignorance is bliss and enlightenment is hell.

The proof for evolution is so obvious already that if somebody doesn't acknowledge it I don't think this will convince them. Interesting, but I am not sure that this is not just a syndrome rather than an example of devolution. (I just got back from family visiting which means lots of arguing...my latest attempt at rationality was: Why did god give humans the gene for making vitaming C, and then mess it up a little so it wouldn't work, and now we have to eat it to prevent scurvy? Unlike dogs and cats and most other animals who have a non-defective vitamin C gene? The response: If you drop little pieces of paper on the ground, can you spell your name? What if you go up in an airplane so there is more time, does that help? No? Aha! Evolution is disproved! So you see what I am dealing with....)

He bumped them together and said he was showing how you can't just bump rocks together and make them explode into a universe. They were in elementary school and were still baffled by the absurdity of the guy's point. [/b] My Dad didn't tell me he used to work at a summer camp (scary thought...) The worst part is he used to be a normal sensible atheist and I learned all about evolution from his book when I was a kid....then he decided he wanted to be religious and just picked the most convenient one and convinced himself of it. I shouldn't argue with him but he starts it.

[/b] It is not a joke. There have been documentaries about them on the Discovery Channel, or maybe TLC. Those people inhabit a village in Turkey, and they are totally real. They come from a line of people who were the same way. I think that line most likely involves similar generations all the way back to pre-humans.

I think that dude thought those people were 'just' walking like apes, because they had a deformed spine or something. In that case, calling them monkeys would kind of be an 'insult'. However, that isn't the case, the case goes much further.

Here is his main argument: While evolution over short periods of time (such as bacteria building up resistances to antibiotics recently) is indeed almost completely proved, HOW there came to be bacteria is not. A better example is how the moth population became darker... sooty trees made darker moths more able to blend in, and those are the ones to survive, but how did there come to be moths in the first place? While I believe in evolution, these questions intrigued me, and I have no answer for them. If you think that evolution is an irrefutable fact, then I think Darwin's Black Box would disappoint you
