      Creationism is not that bad

Think about it, United states is scientifically illiterate
http://www.csmc.edu/6603.html the fact is the US ranks really low in people who believe in evolution.

Before fundamentalist Islam took hold of the middle east it was a scientific powerhouse, espically since they benefitted alot for the collaspe of Rome and Greece, however after that nothing.

Then luckly England and other countries started to go away from the dark ages. However, this is threaten because a generation is growing up scientifically stupid.

Now you can say were all doomed, which if you look at the statistic like education in the US and how they rank compared to over seas students. However, if you look at countries like China and Japan, its really good.

So basically, if the US fall into a dark age atleast China and Japan and other asian countries will not. I for one welcome our new Chinese leaders.

I wouldn't be surprised if the US collaspes, have you seen the economy lately.

Anyway, Creationism is not that bad, atleast it leads to China becoming the only super power i.e. a communist dictatorship. Which, is really good. Espically, for the communist.

The planet Earth exhibits all of these properties and therefore can be considered alive and its own single organism by the scientific definition.
      7. Reproduction: The ability to produce new organisms.
does the planet Earth reproduce, well no unless you count the moon.

Yeah, but for how long. If they banned evolution in schools then it would have a knock on effect.

China is improving so much because they are becoming so much more capitalistic. If they ever become the big business center of the world and the leading superpower, it will only because they decided to go even further with capitalism. If they do it that way, I will congratulate them. There is no other way they can pull it off. While I am at it, I hope the entire rest of the world goes capitalistic and passes us. A capitalistic world is a civilized world.

But as it stands right now...

How do you know you are not dreaming right now?

They haven't banned evouloution in Schools in the US, not that i know off. The Theory of Evouloutions position is not in immediate danger of being usurped in the US right now. Theres some people who are trying to get Creationism in and Christians are blocking Scientific discovery by imposing limitiations on it like Stem Cell Research as an example. But overall in Science the US and Europe are doing pretty well for the time being and anyway in the Universities they still have some of the best Courses around for that and keep pumping out the necesary talent or importing it as they so often do.

I think the major threat to scientific innovations is the fundies who try to impose limitiations on Science because of their Dogma. Invariably Countries without these limitiations like will pave ahead in these fields and be the first to make the discoveries and to make the patents etc.

I don't see the situation as serious as you make it sound though although it is getting there. I think Ben Stein's "Documentary" is sign that situation is begining to deteroriate. Nor do i see a type of mindset that is prevelaent in Saudi Arabia arising on the same level in the US as you seem to suggest.

I think the playing field is shifting over to china but for a variety of reasons. And why do you support China? I'm not sure how socialist CHina is today but i can tell you that China has as UM says become quite capitalistic and has really done topsy tervy to the idea of socialsim to the point where its not even socialism/communism anymore- just a Capitalistic Dictatorship that presents itself as Socialist in name only.

I beleive the shift to Capitalism will be China's down fall though. They are booming really fast but the more they go up the harder they come down. China will become a super power i reckon but not for too long before they come crashing down. The road they have paved for themselves i think isn't sustainable at all. Especially for the population they have, they're just raping the enviorment and resources too fast. I hear theres loads of desertification aswell.

In a Generation China will be one giant shit hole. You just wait and see.

You can fix the problem if it isn't addressed.

I agree. Creationism isn't the root of the problem, it's a consequence of the problem.
      - Are you an idiot?
      - No sir, I'm a dreamer.
