If ((Pat Robertson + Ray Comfort) != Smart)

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nkucs...layer_embedded

Ray has the hardest time sounding even slightly knowledgeable about evolution. The sad thing is that the religious evolution deniers (AKA fundies) eat this shit up! They listen to these arguments, put a smirk on their face and say to themselves "Yup Ray is right! Gosh darn it there aint no crockaducks!"

Why hasn't this guy just gone away? The man got destroyed in a debate with the rational response squad, who are terrible atheist debaters. Could you imagine him going into a debate with any of the four horseman? It would be a slaughter, yet this guy is still popping up and showing his complete ignorance about the theory of evolution!

People need to figure out, don't debate shit unless you have at least read the wikipedia article on it! Funny how atheists usually know the religious text that they argue over very well, yet YECs don't know what the hell evolution is past "we came from monkeys".

Simple answer: don't worry about them.

Sure, it's a bit annoying that they are reaping the benefits of the painstaking work of generations of rational thinkers whilst simultaneously denying everything those people stood for, but hey, just sit back; they'll be first against the wall when the revolution comes.

Does it really matter what they do? They and their cooky followers will either be shunned or they'll see how stupid their beliefs are eventually. That, or they're going to die like everyone else in the next 100 years. What can you do with faulty logic in that amount of time?

      Yes, it does matter, DD.

You wouldn't want your school teachers peddling bullshit and claiming it as divine truth.

Why should these people who hold far too much sway over everything that happens in the US get away with it? These are the people who literally tell their followers who to vote for. The Christian Right is taking over America one election at a time.

They preach disinformation and downright falsities.
They attack men of science who have years of work and mountains of evidence to back their work up on the basis of psuedoscientific answers. And their "flock"(sheep... fitting, neh?) swallow it all up.

We, as rational thinkers, need to work against these people. Not on any moral or religious basis like Creationists do, but because they(and people with world views similar to theirs) are actively holding back humanity.

Of course they're a problem. But it's not really something to be taken seriously. Most of them aren't violent; they're stupid. Their children see how mis-informed and ignorant their parents are, and change and don't following their beliefs. Those stupid enough to stay with their status quo don't go anywhere, really. I don't see the government being run like a theocracy, do you?

Eventually it'll die out like most stupid beliefs. Like how people thought the earth was flat. Give it time. Does it really need to be rushed? Are you really gaining something for actively fighting against them?

Their numbers are actually growing. Over the past 50 years, the US has gone from being a technocracy to a theocracy.

      Could you source that?
This was that cult, and the prisoners said it had always existed and always would exist, hidden in distant wastes and dark places all over the world until the time when the great priest Cthulhu, from his dark house in the mighty city of R'lyeh under the waters, should rise and bring the earth again beneath his sway.

Anyone who has never heard of an amphibian is a moron. A animal who lives underwater, then comes out onto land. Is a an amphibian. Such as a frog!

As for the female theory, that is clearly talked about in evolution. An animal slowly evolves over time. So you never have just a male dog and no female dog. You have a male dog which grows a tail and a female dog that never evolved a tail. The male dog doesn't need a tailed dog to mate, it just mates with the female dog. The female has children and they now have tails(possibly). You don't need two of anything to mate, the new one just mates with the old one.

The way i think things work...

As lifeforms environment changes, they mutate just a little to cope with the environment changes. Then when they have sex or pass on there gene's. The baby gets those changes.

If the environment changes for a group of animals. Overtime as there offspring crossbreed and breed with each other. The changes are passed on. You then get new lifeforms thousands of years down the road.

That's just how i believe Evolution works. Which i assume most do. We change, then we pass those changes to our kids. Pretty simple and easy to figure out with common sense, this guy on that movie is a complete moron.

Also i believe that religion and government should be two separate things. Anyone whos in government and puts there religion over the well being of the rest of the people, is not working in the best interest of the people.

From the sounds of it, you must live in the US. There are actually countries out there that shun talk of religion in politics, such as the Scandinavian countries, perhaps some countries in western Europe, and Canada to a smaller extent.
