Those in Heaven watching and laughing at you(why would good people do that...?). Obviously, here we can see that moral principles can mean many different things. It is as when you argue with some Christian, that doing something was good, and then have them answer that it is not good according to God. So it's all relative. About what you posted... It's very simple when you look at it. Why would good people do that? You must take note, that for those people to be good, they had to stone, behead, humiliate or do and think whatever the holy book says. So they are good according to some totally different moral code than us. There comes a point when being good doesn't actually mean being good, but it means assimilating some twisted morals of an old book, thinking that it's god's message. Of course people are different, so you'll always find good and bad religious or not religious people. It is scary, I agree.

but the main requirement to go to paradise(bar the obvious faith and following the doctrine) is to be a good person. Part of it is.. "Those who spend their days (benevolently) in ease as well as in straitness, and those who restrain (their) anger and pardon men; and Allah loves the doers of good (to others)." So surely that means you should never be violent. But at the same time there are many passages which says you should be discriminative and violent toward non-believers. So many it means to good to fellow Muslims when it says to pardon men and to good...so not all men.

muslims are confused as well I've spoken with muslims who believe God is within everyone. Against violence, murder, rape, war then of course you have the muslims who say war and violence is okay, because it is commanded in their books with all religions, there comes a point where you have to choose to follow an old book. or follow something intangible

Religious leaders have a knack for twisting and manipulating the word of God to suit their own desires. They take things out of context, and preach it to persuade others to do their bidding in "the name of God." The Holy books are fairly large books. It's not too difficult of a feat to sift through chapters, take a verse here and a verse there, copy--paste, and create a lesson or sermon to preach as God's will. It's like clipping out a letter or word at a time out of a magazine and rearranging it to make something totally new. "Well it came from the magazine...so it is the magazine"

Hell isn't supposed to be, be theological standards, a happy place. it just seems a tad more graphics then when the Bible discusses Hell, unless there's a few verses on it I've forgotten. It was just the article is pretty long and a lot of it are quotes from the Qu'ran so it really does spend a good portion describing what happens. Imagine being Muslim and having friends who were non-believers...how could you sleep at night knowing that would happen to them all, ugh.

As much as I have bitched about the Christian version of Hell and what it takes to get there, at least the God in Christianity only allows people to go to Hell (Well, that is the claim, but it is contradicted by other teachings.). It looks like Allah is supposed to be heavily involved in the horrors of the Islamic torture pit. He is the torture master there. Knowing how terrible Allah is supposed to be, it is amazing that so many people worship the fictitious character. I give Allah two thumbs down.
