In the name of the Father.

So for all you Christians out there, I have a question.
First lets start with some simple premises. God is benevolent. Moral truths stem from God; killing is wrong because God says its wrong, stealing is wrong because God says its wrong. Homosexuality is wrong because guess what, hes not into it. God is also all knowing and all powerful.
So your at home one evening, reading your bible; and God appears. You are overcome by a feeling of awe, you are certain you are in the prescence of God. God tells you that your next door neighbour, who is an extremely friendly charitable man, deserves to die and that it is your duty to kill him, he does not divulge the reason he deserves to die but then why should he, this is God speaking. To fail this command would be to disobey your God; and hes intristically benvolent and omniscient therefore, he knows and best and his command is obviously good.

What do you do? (plus some form of justification.)

I'm not even going to entertain your question but I will say that in the Bible God ordered Abraham to sacrifice his son Issac as a sign of his faith. at the last minute, God sent a lamb to take Issac's place.

First not that i don't believe in God but i doubt God will ever appear
unless it is a dream or vision and secondly he would never want anyone dead even if he wanted to he would use natural ways to let him die than to let his followers kill.

Completely ridiculous comment. First off, congratulations on being the second person to completely dodge the question.
Secondly, in regards to your doubts, that is irrelevant, the question is hypothetical and is a question of principles.
And thirdly, God would never want anyone dead? The Bible is littered with tales of genocide, infanticide and human sacrifices. Joshua and the people of Ai? The question still stands.

Disappointing, not even willing to put up a fight. Funny how christians on this forum can quote scripture endlessly but can't answer a simple hypothetical question regarding the extent of their faith.
