Because, you know, instilling us with the common sense to limit our child bearing is so much less humane than letting one group of people rape, torture, and kill members of another.

Stopping child birth? In what natural ways? If he won't use natural ways, he could just make people disappear... Also I was talking about mass extermination type of genocide (holocaust will be an example) and being killed/tortured/raped would be worth living in paradise for infinity or w/e or at least become a ghost.

That just seems so...perverse. It's really taking the blame away from humans and placing it on the shoulders of some divine being. Hitler was responsible...a product of the human race murdered those people, not god.

I fighting for the argument that Hitler is good, do you realize that? So if you blame him for good then...

I'm fighting for the argument that Hitler was a mass-murdering fuckhead. The people he murdered had no significant impact on overpopulation, and were killed for no other reason than being Jewish or disabled. There is no way to justify the deeds he consciously, wittingly carried out.

first of all that was just an example, it doesn't have to be genocide, could be natural disaster, also population increase is not linear but would be a more quadratic equasion first its 6 million then its 12, 20, 36 and so forth. PREMATURE GLOBAL WARMING!!! WOOT!

The problem still stands of the ends nowhere near justifying the means. The average natural disaster, war, or genocide only kills off a tiny, tiny portion of the global population. The difference is negligible, but the suffering created is immense. Over time, we're still boned. The areas hit hardest by these things tend to be the poorer regions with short average lifespans anyway. To make a lasting dent on global population (and a temporary one, at that), you'd have to remove roughly all of Africa.

hey, better then nothing imagine non of this happened? and I wan't talking on grand scale. Those little things can make us last untill tech allows us to colonise other planets

Without those little things, there likely wouldn't be the huge-ass conflict in the middle east between Israelis and Muslims. Apart from that, everything else would be exactly the same. If we ever do reach our natural carrying capacity, we'll just be wiped out as fast as we create. One birth, one death. Overpopulation isn't going to drive us extinct. And planet colonization is at least several thousand years away.

Did god ever think of giving us more space and more resources? Yeah, dying's not a big deal.
