      Got Lucid Today? Post here!

Note: Because of the steps needed for this research project, please only post the required information. Thank you for your participation.
I look forward to your comments.

In one of my first posts I adressed my interest to know how many DV members had lucid dreams in a given date. Seeker said that it was difficult, at that time, to add some code to the Dream View forum due to the lack of people.

Well, I thought, what about doing it in a thread until we had that code done? So, here it is!

      Rules:
[list]Post here if you just had a lucid dream. No comments, no replies!

Post the date, the number of lucid dreams that you had in that given date and, if possible, the time and duration.

Do not give descriptions of your lucid dream; just the date, time and duration. Exception given to something that can help people have lucid dreams.

Also post all the procedures that help you accomplish the lucid dream, what technique did you use, how, etc.

In a nutshell: say everything that you think can help everyone improves the number of their lucid dreams!
      [list]

      Example:
Just had a Lucid Dream today (04/13/2005). It happened at 05:00am and last for 20 minutes; really vivid and many control. Did MILD and took B6 plus valerian pills before bed.

A note for the naturals or Lucid Dream Gods:

If you have lucid dreams every night, please don't post here. The goal of this thread is to see trends and statistics and it'll not help if you just have LD naturally. If you really-really-really thing your post can help people become lucid and you like to share that with Dream View members, please do it.

As I said above this thread is to help us see trends and statistics. Think about what we can do with 6 months of data! We can see patterns, correlations, techniques that are working and other strange things like 30 people having a lucid dream in the same evening.

Help us improve the number of lucid dreams DV members have; post here every time you have a lucid dream!!

Tell about this topic to other Dream View members. Also put it in your "Favourites" right now, it's easy, just a mouse click, and see what other people are doing to have lucid dreams more often! Remember that you can also "Watch this topic".

Had one Lucid Dream during the hours of the morning (13/04/2005). I got to sleep about 01:00am. It happened at 04:10am and lasted for about 10-12 minutes; colourful and vivid/semi-controlled. I was in a dream induction room with various dream gates. Before sleep i focued on my 'Third Eye' for about 20 minutes, then thought about images in my mind with my eyes open instead of closed.
"I was looking back to see if you were looking back at me to see me looking back at you".

Had 2 lucids in a row today (april, 19th, 2005). Vividness 4 (from 1 to 5) and ended a 22 days dry spell!!! Did not control anything, just went in the dream flown. The first one last just one minute; the second one several minutes. The first lucid happened between 5:00am and 5:40am. The second one at 06:20am.

In the fist lucid I just "realize" that I was dreaming. In the second one I pinched my nose to do the reality check.

Went to bed at 10:30pm. My son (2 years old) slept with me and my wife. Wake up at 11:20pm to put him on his bed. 4 dreams total for the night. Tried WILD at 03:00am with no success. Got deeply paralysed but just that. I concentrated a lot in the Ajna Chakra (Third Eye, between eyebrows), focusing in a white dot there. At 4:00am my son woke up with a bad cough. I went to the kitchen and got a syrup to him. So, I did a forced WBTB :-)

In the first lucid I slept on the left side and my right nostril was open. In the second lucid I had slept on the left side of the body but both my nostrils were open. The nostrils open/close stuff I took from a experiment in the nasal cycle from the Lucidity Institute. Do not know if it influences the lucid dreams, but I started to put it in my journal also.

I did MILD before sleep and at every time that I woke up after REMs.

Vitamins/pills: I DID NOT took any B complex pills nor Valerian tea for the night.

Food: I ate a hole veggie pizza and drank tea at dinner (8:00pm).

I had one lucid dream tonight (19/4), it was not so strong though, I only realized I was dreaming right at the end of it. The beginning of the dream was very vivid, but then it got strange and when I realized I was dreaming I still couldn't controll everything. I'm not sure about the exact time but i guess it was around 05:30 -06:00 AM. I did HILD twice that day, one time in the afternoon and a second time just before drifting off. I take no medication or B6.
I went to bed early, 10:00 PM (Had three english tests today ) and I woke one time at 4:00 am but then quickly fell asleep again. My alarm clock woke me at 6:00 am, and I threw myself over my dreamjournal and wrote for about three minutes

my first lucid dream was on 18.4.05. id only been trying for 3 days and id expected it to take longer. i guess the thing that helped me become lucid was to make reality checks a habit and do it like normal. i also wrote my dreams in as much detail as possible and noted things that would help me become lucid. its just general stuff and i practised heaps. well hope that helps

Dude you could just analyze the various Dream Diaries, there are sorted ones for Lucid Dreaming, there are other forums, there are online dream diaries that you can search by categories. But I really don't see why anyone would want to waste his time on that... Seriously, what do you hope to see? Good, here's your results:
      Weekends: increase
      Holidays: Increase
      Monday: Decrease
      Wednesday: Small Increase
      Christmas/Easter etc: Increase
Correlation between birthday frequency and LD frequency per month.
      Summer onset: increase
      school off: Increase

      And so on.
