No lucids. While in trance, I felt very good. Gave myself some affirmations.

      Lucids: 0

      Hey MrOMGWTF,

Thanks for testing out my technique. You should see more lucid dreams as you progress because you're essentially just using the lucid trance to build up your awareness. Just remember to do it for at least 30 mins and spend time manipulating your senses.

I don't know if you've read my latest article, but I'm currently writing a book about a similar technique. It's a little like the LT except you use it to pass straight into the dream WILD style. Would you like an advanced copy to try out before I offer the book to the public? If you can do the LT you should easily be able to pass straight into the dream world A LOT provided you use the technique before dream sleep.

If that's cool, PM me your email and I'll send it once I've edited everything.

      Cheers and have fun,
      Jamie

Wow, thanks! I'd love to get that copy! Getting into trance isn't a problem for me because I was practicing self-hypnosis some time ago

      I sent you my email.

I noticed something while trying to get into a trance. My trance-routine starts with reverse blinking, and then I'm slowly counting from 100 to 0. There are many other things after this, but the counting itself puts me into a nice trance from which I can start deepening the trance by hypnotic suggestions.

Last night I tried something else. Instead of counting from 100 to 0, I counted from 5 to 0, and repeated it until I felt that I'm in trance... I fell asleep after a dozen of repetitions? :O I never fell asleep while counting from 100 to 0.

Thanks a lot for your email.

Especially because of your experience because you should see great results. Everything centers around getting deep enough into the trance state.

I usually take it that I'm deep enough into the trance when I can start manipulating my senses because I only feel crazy things happening when I'm deep enough in. To get into the trance state I tend to use observation and letting go.

I've not counted before, but it's pretty strange how you fell asleep using 1-5. Do you think it's maybe not complicated enough and you start doing it on automatic then losing awareness? When I've done something like this before I've tried to see the alphabet in my mind's eye then work backwards. It's usually complicated enough to stay aware.

I'll get back to you in about 2-3 weeks with the book. I just need to edit it.

Another thing you might find useful that I touched on in my last reply:

I always try to do two things at once, so in my case observing means feeling and watching.

If you're counting down the numbers 1-5 you could also try imagining them in your mind's eye or in the back of your eyelids.

Then imagine one number is red, the next is green, etc. Then one big, one small, etc.

I think doing two things at once helps kill the inner-voice quicker and when you try to imagine seeing something your awareness is switched on more.
