      Memory Technique + Lucid Dreaming

I recently became interested in the method of loci (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Method_of_loci) technique for improving memory. I was wondering how this could be affected by lucid dreaming, i.e. one could visit their "memory palace" and perhaps reinforce the memories or place items there to be recalled later.
Since I have yet to have a lucid dream, I have been unable to try this out, but I figured that someone here might be familiar with the memory technique, and may want to explore this idea further.

I've thought about this too, but from the perspective of making lucid dreams easier to remember. The big thing that stands out to me is that dreams in general have a tendency to be quite chaotic, so even though you walk into what you expect to be your room in order to re-enforce a memory there, you may find yourself somewhere completely different.

Saying that I do think this idea has alot of potential, the method of loci is very powerful, and surely can be enhanced with dreaming. Id love a memory container that i could store information in to send data too and from dreams... to make sure i dont forget a task i was meant to do for example.

That was a very interesting article. I've seen this used like in the popular examples given, but I didn't know it had a name and was really an ancient technique. I'm going to try to apply this to something and start seeing if I can use it.

I can't think how to apply it to lucid dreaming right now, but I think anything that improves memory can only be beneficial.
