      Nice Guide.

Though using an alarm makes me forget my dreams in the morning.

No offense but I think you should have more than a single lucid dream if you're planning on writing a guide for lucid dreaming.

It wasn't a flame, and it wasn't mean. I'd just rather that people who need advice get it from someone who has experience. Also, your guide hasn't helped anyone yet (so far as we know), so I don't know why you're criticizing me as if it did.

That's pretty arrogant of yourself as well. Some people just have a hard time DILDing, even with the best guides there are.

I'm just offering my opinion, as this is in the research section. Most of the advice is superfluous and makes many assumptions, such as "use a sleeping bag" and "draw a letter on your forehead" or something like that. They're ideas that might be useful, but not for a guide to the basics.

Look at it this way: I've only successfully WILDed a couple of times, but I've read about every guide there is about it. Would you really rather have people learn from a tutorial I wrote than one of Billyob's guides? (Since you might not have heard of him yet, he's had like thousands of WILDs and can pretty much do it at will. Plus he has several guides on the subject.) I can tell people what I'd to, but even I wouldn't trust my own advice.

And I'll flip it around. I'm not a natural at DILD in that I've done it without knowing what LDing is, but once I started doing it I developed my skill enough that I could DILD almost every day. If I thought about what advice I'd give when first starting vs. the advice I'd give after perfecting the technique, my original advice scares me.

This is a pretty good guide, i might try it.

Instead of drawing a picture of my dream, i try to post something that looks similar to something that happend in my dream or something that concerns the topic matter. Check out my DJ in my profile to see.

Yeah, don't get all cocky and thinking you can take it on. You need more experience for it.

I guess we should be agreeing with the guy that has a chicken for an avatar.

This seems like a pretty crazy guide. Made me kind of laugh actually. Drawing a letter on your head and having someone notice? Rushing through different tasks? (I'm not trying to insult, I'm just saying it's funny).

Being in the research forums though, you should be looking into your techniques and testing them instead of claming that they work. Maybe have some others help by giving their own results based on your technique. If it's all a success, I would probably refer to a moderater (I wouldn't know what to do after I have created a good technique).

Keep testing this yourself. If you get a lucid dream within every 5 days, then I would think maybe it could be a success but that's just based on you. You maybe the only one who finds that your own methods work.

I would actually probably recommend having a moderater moving this to attaining lucidty. If this is a success, probably move it to the education team.

I fully agree with pojmaster and lucidspark, i dont think having 1 lucid dream warrants making a guide and claiming that if it doesnt work then you're doing something wrong. It's not a bad technique, basically just MILD/intention but then things like drawing a letter on your forehead, that's a little out there I don't think too many people would/could really do that.

Yeah what are people going to ask you. and what are you going to tell them?

Person: Hey you got something on your forehead
      (People giggling and pointing)
Dreamer: Oh this, it's for lucid dreaming (does a reality check)

      ...sorry

Anything I was going to say has been said before. However, do you realize you put contractions in absolutely random places? Wan't instead of want, we'l instead of we'll, and you also capitalize random things like "Lucidity" in the middle of a sentence. Couldn't help but notice.

Haha, using proper grammar is useful, but it also makes you look like an asshole when you correct someone. The urge is just too great. By the way, it should be "less than 5 days."

Not trying to be a jerk, but this makes very little sense. Why do you get up at 4 and 6:30? What do you do once you're up? What time do you go to sleep to start with?

I don't see the water coming back into it at all, unless it's between 4 and 6:30. I think that before you post a guide like this you should pick it apart and see which parts are actually necessary, which are just helpful, and which are completely superfluous.
