How do you see in dreams?

Well, how do you? When you answer this, also say how you remeber thngs. I see in non-lucid dreams (as well as memories) as if i'm in a movie, or viewing a 3-d model. When i become lucid, however, I see through my eyes, sortof how I see really old memories (from when I was 4 or 5)

Usually in my dreams i see with my own two eyes, its pretty rare for me to see myself in 3rd person. And in the sole lucid dream i had i was also seeing with my eyes.
And about how I remember things - in a matter of fact in some of my memories I can remember seeing stuff both through my eyes and 3rd person which is a bit odd

It varies back and forth for me...But most of the time it's like I'm a spectator...Which is weird lol.

Interesting... I can see some meories through my eyes too, I just have to move my vantage point to the inside of my head. I tell you, It's Quite strange, seeing you memories as if they were a movie. I guess I was born to amke movies, or something. Anyway, any imput from other people is apriciated.

There's another thread on this, although it's somewhat short.

      My answer there was:

Mostly in third person, but rarely in 3rd person.

Occasionally I've had dreams where I'm not part of them at all (no one knows I'm there, and I'm floating somewhere above all the action.) But those have always been in non-lucids.
I also have strange dreams occasionally where everything is unrealistic; it can be black and white, or cartoon-y looking, or like everything is made out of clay.

As for remembering them, I see everything from the same perspective in which the dream occurred. I can remember exactly the angle, and how it looked [most of the time]. Even little things. Even if it happened back in my childhood. My memories of dreams are mostly visual.

I always see with my own two eyes, but when I become lucid, colors sometimes become strange, almost psychedelic. When I know I'm starting to lose my lucidity, the world often becomes blurry, and focusing my eyes on an object until it becomes crystal-clear has helped me maintain my lucidity.

In dreams, I usually have trouble remembering things from the waking world, and I can't distinguish between "real" memories and "dream" memories. It stays this way for a moment after I wake up, and there comes a slow realization as I lie in bed that what happened in my dream wasn't real. Sometimes it's a relief; sometimes a disappointment.

I find that in a lot of my dreams, I am watching myself do things, but still controlling them. So I guess 3rd person viewing would be how I see in the majority of my dreams. Rarely, I see in 1st person.

      I am similar.

Typically in my dreams I see in 3rd person as well as 1st person.

For me, it depends on what is happening in my dreams.

For instance if I am in a strange world I tend to start off in 1st person looking at what is directly in front of me.
Then my dream perspective switches to 3rd person to get a greater look at where I am and what is around me.

      I can't say I dislike seeing in either 1st or 3rd.
For me it's the experience of the dream. I like both 1st and 3rd person, due to the fact it makes everything a little bit more interesting when seeing through both perspectives.

Would be cool to see in 360...and maybe 4D? Now that would be a dreaming achievement.

Not odd at all. Many people remember old childhood memories in 3rd person. Usually general things like walking around a childhood house is remembered in 1st person, but remembering big events for many people is can often be 3rd.

That sounds really cool. Sometimes I wish my dreams would be less realistic. I think it would be neat to have cartoonish dreams.

Whenever I become lucid my eyesight comes into focus like I just took off a pair of bad glasses that blur everything. Sometimes its a bummer because it's actually harder for me to do crazy things like flying in lucid dreams than in non-lucid because it seems so much more realistic. When I lose lucidity its like those bad glasses come back lol.

Remembering things from the real world comes easy to me. When I become lucid almost every time I get the mental image of my body in bed. I can usually bring up the main events of the day from the real world. It can be such a bummer when you have a great dream and you wake up and for a few surreal seconds you still think that great dream is reality and then it hits you.

I always see as the protagonist of the dream. Whether or not it is always me is a different question.

I see my dreams in first person, I recall them in third.

If you recall your dreams in 3rd person than how do you know you see them in 1st?

In my dreams, i generally switch between first and third person view.

For instance, there was this one dream where i was in first person and when i saw an important object in the dream i switched to third person, and the camera was fixed on that object.

Okay, great. So some people can see dreams in both 1st and 3rd person. I wonder, have you ever seen a dream in second perrson? (Your a minor charecter watching the dream events unfold)

I see mostly in first person and hovering above or outside my body in a sort of third person in non lucid dreams. However, I never see myself. In lucid dreams it's always through my own eyes in first person.

I don't really like it that much. I can't explain it, but because I'm someone else I feel "dirty" because I know I'm not myself. It's weird...

Well... usually I'm a bad person, but only because most people I know are bad. And I don't like being bad, I guess. Ha. I have bad thoughts when I'm another person, and I can't help it. Yet at the same time I'm aware of these bad thoughts, yet I hate it at the same time.

      Yeah, it's weird.

      Hmm... Interseting.
Cold you do me a favor?
Next time you see in second person, try to move to first or third. (are you controlling your second person charecter, while at the same time seeing yourself doing something? If so, try for 1st. If not, 3rd)
