      Question Multiplayer Dream Game Idea

Hello all, I am new to this forum.

I am curious if the following if feasible or not:

Build an arcade-like cabinet out of inexpensive materials. This game will be similar to Rock-Paper-Scissors.

Place 2 sensors of some sort that require clenching of fists to activate them. To start the game, clench both fists on the sensors 3 times. Upon activation of the game a distinct sound is played and one of 3 objects falls from a chute. The objects are very simple but distinct in both shape, weight, and texture. The user can then pick up the object and place it in the top of the chute. I suppose the chute should be capable of shuffling the objects. The user then clenches the sensors using a left-right-left combination and a sound is played corresponding to the next object. Shortly afterwards either a victory or loss sound is played. This game would be placed nearby the bed and left there until it becomes part of what a person expects to see in their sleeping environment. One could even adorn the arcade with a big sign that says "Play me while dreaming", or something to that effect.

The user would then play this for a substantial amount of time while awake in order to train himself with the sounds.

There are several assumptions taking place that would be necessary. We can certainly train our brain to hear a sound and then expect an action to occur as a result of hearing that sound. Are we able to hear things from computer speakers or a neurophone and then expect some action to occur within our dream as a result? Could this happen without waking up?

While sleeping, fist clenches could be detected by monitoring a person's hands using an EMG to detect fist clenches such as was done by LaBerge.

I realize that this idea probably needs to be greatly refined but any input is helpful. I also realize this is entirely a game of chance but I'm yet to think of simple ways to make this sort of concept be a game of skill.

That actually seems like, after refinement, a possible sort of idea or concept. I mean, its not the clearest, but I think I sort of realise what you're saying. There is an interesting theory behind it too - I mean, our brains can certainly be trained, and it would be interested to apply this to our dream world.

In essence though, could this not be incorporated into more advanced games later in the future? Even if the game does not work, the 'rules' or 'parameters' can be outlined, and the user can then essentially construct them in his mind. Still, this depends on their control.

Y'know, I don't even think I addressed what you're REALLY talking about, but there's my 5 cents Oh and welcome to the forum.
