      What energy controls our body?

I don't think that this belongs in the beyond dreaming forum, because I believe that body movement is not the results of some strange ki/chi/psi/whatever, but can be explained scientifically.

The movement of muscles is actually the contraction of muscle fibers, and I realize that, but my question is, what kind of energy supplies the movement? Or, is my question somehow not quite valid?

I'm being serious. I'm really curious about it.

Do you mean 'what energy do we "use" to create movement', or more in the sense of 'what are we'?
You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.

Chemical energy, which is converted in to kinetic energy.

It's been a long time since I read about this, but off the top of my head myosin fibres are moved by the hydrolysis of ATP, causing muscle contraction.

Thanks! Can you give me a link to a more detailed article?

Don't listen to those crazy scientists Noogah! Do you know that they think that ATP evolved?!? Just stick to the bible: It has everything you need. There's no need to worry your precious little mind over what scientists think. What do they know anyways.

Listen buddy. I don't remember inviting the big bang gang. I listen to scientists who actually have logical science.

I don't believe the scientists who say you and I are apes, and haven't a shred of proof.

Also, the Bible never mentions muscle fiber, but is specifically mentions the origins of the earth.

Furthermore, muscle fiber can be observed. Touched, studied, and reviewed.

Don't bother responding. I don't want to bring this thread off topic, and if you do respond, you'll be ignored.

Can't you EVER leave Evolution out of ANYTHING???

Oh, and SnakeChramer, Bonsay, thanks for the videos people! Neat stuff.

Noogah. All great apes have 24 chromosomes, humans have 23. For us to be related we should've found the chromosome. And we did. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromosome_2_(human).
      2 chromosomes fused.

Which is clearly shown by the telomeres in the centre of the chromosome and the vestigial centromere. How do you explain this without common decent? Beside "goddunit for kicks" of course.

So because humans and apes have the same chromosome means we are related?

Yeah. Related to the same creator.

Well, nevermind. Evolution debate belongs in a different thread.

I'm finished here. Thanks alot guys!

I can't contend with Goddunit. Any proof anyone shows can always be "countered" with god did it. So what would be proof of evolution for you?

Look bonsay, I said I want this thread to stay on topic. I never tried to "counter" your "proof" with "God did it"

I'll respond to you via PM, alright? I want this thread to be left alone by the big bang gang.

You opened a can of worms!

We're not apes, we are humans. Humans are directly related to apes. There is plenty of proof and evidence, you choose to ignore it thread after thread.

Lay off it guys. The muscle thing was a fair question. Noogah should still be able to use the rest of the forums without everyone dragging evolution into things.

A rebalancing of potassium and calcium in the nerves is what fires electrical energy, which causes the muscles to contract. That's why pinching a nerve feels like an electrical shock.

In taekwondo and most martial arts we believe this to be chi, chakra, life energy, orgone energy, aether, spirit, bio-energy, which is always present all around us. This energy is somehow intelligent. thats why we meditate, to go with the flow of intelligence; Check out cells doing and DNA formation and cell mitosis.

There's still a huge mystery that I can't explain here, many scientist have tried.. who will bring the solution?

Do you understand that the common ancestor we share with chimpanzees is much more recent than the common ancestor that chimpanzees share with Asian apes like the Oragutang? In essence, there is no scientific classification that includes the Orangutang and the Chimpanzee but not the homo sapien.

Therefore, yes, you are a fucking monkey.

Back to the actual topic, I think it's commendable that you're interested in science; keep reading and one day you might abandon your middle age beliefs.

DNA is a mathematical language. How do you explain this intelligence from a logical point of view?

How about a 99% genetic overlap between humans and chimpanzees? We are classified as apes right now. The four kinds of great apes are chimpanzees, gorillas, orangutans, and humans. There are very clear and provable genetic reasons for the classification.
