Exclamation Leo Volont Has A Blog!

Leo Volont, remember him? Just search the name on google and you will see his trail all over the science and philosophy forums. Well it turns out he has his own blog which makes for (in true Leo style) engaging and thought provoking writing

      http://leovolont.blogspot.com/2007/0...aggerated.html

This article seems to discredit the claims of lucid dreaming everybody be sure to us what you think of it

Sorry that link doesn't work you want http://leovolont.blogspot.com/

That was really quite interesting and there is some amount of truth to his posting about lucid dreaming. It's too bad he acted like such a jerk and got himself perma-banned. Often his posts were thought provoking.

Sorry to whip a dead horse, but why exactly was he banned? His comment against atheism wasn't that offensive

It wasn't any single incident that got him banned. It was months of constant rudeness and abuse toward members, especially new members that came in asking innocent questions. I think we were extremely tolerant.

BTW, he only lasted 5 days on LD4ALL before he was perma-banned.

Maybe that's because they saw what he did here on DV?

I'm pretty sure Seeker implied that he was banned within 5 days for his actions there.

However, I guess he was using forums as his "multi-player" blogs, until he likely got banned from them all and took on a bit of "single player". >.<

Ummm, no I don't think much of what he has to say is thought provoking. What he wrote about lucid dreams, from that link that I read, had NOTHING to back it up. Plus, he says he has dreams where he talks with angels about types of sin! Please, lets try to keep this a science so we can make some progress and not get involved with stuff like OBE's and astral projection, and god forbid let some guy who has religious dreams tell us that lucid dreaming is bullshit. (Damn, I got angry. And I've been trying so hard not to! What with all the meditation...etc...)

A blog is perfect for Leo. I commented recently that he needed his own forum - elsewhere. It seems he has it.

Ohhh christ. Leo Volant has a blog....I would not care to read it. I remember him as what i shall describe as...a very frustrating person. It doesn't surprise me he finally got banned from DV or that he's been banned elsewhere.

I feel I ought to post in this topic. :p

I want to see Leo back on DV. Yes, he was a jerk, but I for one enjoyed his jackassery.

My 'Unban Leo' avatar has disappeared though!

IMHO, Leo is extremely well spoken, intelligent and interesting. I'll probably be popping in and reading his blog from time to time.

He does not, however, belong in a forum like this. For all his good (and even exceptional) qualities, he is at the same time condescending, intimidating and vicious. Tolerating his presence carries a high cost and results in casualties that may not be obvious but are real enough.

If you miss Leo, you know where to find him now. Go engage him there.

Enough of the Leo publicity. This thread should probably be locked right about here.

"I have found that I have a discernment that often sees far differently from the ordinary public take upon things. And then there are the Angels, dreams and visions that inform my views."

UMMM Angels dreams and visions that inform his views??? NUTCASE. Why are you all praising him so?

I believe PJ has put it best.

No matter how intelligent or original someone may be, if they can not communicate it properly it's completely useless. (Yes, communicating goes hand in hand with someones personality, as communicating is interaction between different person(s))

He is a man who is unfortunately bound buy his religious endeavors. Very bright. His thoughts will always be bound by his religios beleifs.
This is to say that such a smart guy could very well imagine and practice great things with his knowledge. With each thing that he knows, the information will always have limitations.
Everything he knows can only go so far.
If your convictions are truly that sensitive to that of any religion, I ask....is that open minded?
