How many Star Wars fans do we have here?

As the topic title suggests, I'm curious to see how many Star Wars fans we have here on Dream Views. If you're a fan of the movies, the books, or both, post here! I know of a couple already, but I'd like to know how many more of us there are. It's not immediately noticeable that I'm a fan, but indeed I am.

[Edit:] Also, this is my first topic here in Senseless Banter, I'm pretty sure.

I'm a fan of episodes 5 and 6. The others were 'bleh', but episode 4 can be forgiven for the revolutionariness of it for its time. I also loved reading the Thrawn Trilogy (3 books by Timothy Zahn). Zahn is an excellent star wars author.

I count as negative one because I hate this series so much...

Kidding, I liked Ep. 4-6. The newer ones are like... blegh, though.

This is more Lounge or Entertainment material, really. Too many people get confused what Senseless Banter is really for noaways, it seems.

But, on topic, I'm a fan and I've seen all 6 episodes, though I'm really only a fan of the prequels. The original trilogy made me yawn, cringe and was really just...meh. Episodes I through III however had a much better feel to them.
Some argue that they were just punch full of pop art or what not, that is, made in the same genre as modern day popular concepts. To which I have to say - that didn't make the plot or immersive moments of the movies any worse. When the jedi are backstabbed by their own soldiers and Yoda falls to his knees in pain, the multiple jedi/sith battles, etc. - all of what makes Hollywood movies nowadays quite impressive. Star Wars in the 80s or what not, when the original trilogy was released, may have been considered a great masterpiece back then but now, with the coming of the prequels, I just see it as a boring series of movies. And, no, not at lack of greater special effects or any such.

Nice to see so many so quickly. Replicon, Tim Zahn is great. He has a way of capturing the feel of Star Wars in a way that few truly can. Another author that did this well was Dave Wolverton.

Naikou, that's a pretty normal outlook. One I in part share.

Merlock, as I hate to disagree this early in my own topic, I'm going to restrain myself and just say, WTF? (rhetorically) No offense, but how could anybody not like the original trilogy...? Ah well, nevermind, keep 'em coming!

Agreed, Zahn really paints quite the picture. And when reading the last big action sequence near the end of his books, you can pretty much hear the John Williams music playing .
