      Some people care about it, some people don't.
      I agree with you that it's an interesting issue to discuss.
      I agree with you that the resistance you receive is a bit exaggerated and even bordering on hostile.

      I think post counts are cool. They show how much you posted. If you spent hours posting, why not get a little trophy to show off? Even if it's not such a great trophy, even if it's a bit of a lame trophy, it's still a trophy. I for one like it.

      You don't respond to what I said. I said the post count is very inaccurate to tell the credibility. But it's still a small part of a lot things that makes the persons credebility.

      Yes, but like I said, I think it's a nice thing, IMHO.
      I like my post count, I like to see other's post counts. I think it's a silly but fun thing to have. If I had 10000 posts I would probably be a little attached to it like that person you talked about from the other forum. Whats so wrong with it? I am not enlightened: I am attached to one or two things. I don't think that such a disaster...

      I think a better status symbol is your UID
      3 digit UID's == uber status

      Hah hah, I'm beatin you Ynot.

      But honestly I wear my post count with pride. It took time to get however many posts I've currently got, and I know whether I was spamming or not (which I wasn't) so I feel like I should have some credit for that and allow others to see how I (hopefully) contribute to the forum and am (according to Exo) a "great part of our community"

      As well as this, I have never seen a case of a New Member being told to "stfu" or "go away" merely because they have a low post count, and rarely if ever have I seen someone with a higher post count lording it over those who don't. It seems on this forum that those with high post counts are not the type of character who would do so anyway.

      So, in short, leave it where it is.
