I was just wondering, who here is also a member of the LD4ALL forum? What is your screenname, in case you are a member? I haven't joined myself, but have been reading a bit of their site. I like DV's a lot better though, and there is perhaps too much content to deal with here to be active there too. I will only join if I am able to keep myself as updated as I want here and have free time to spare. So...not likely.

I don't post there quite so often as here, but that's because this site has everything I need to know about LDs. Plus my wittle Evanescent is here......and I could never abandon him. I don't go to ld4all because Dreamviews owns, and I already have enough stuff here to keep me occupied, and that ld4all eye thing gets on my nerves.

I was thinking about it yesterday so I took a look around and I didn't like it. Was it just me or are the forums there really slow? I also didn't like the boards. They are not really organized well and are kind of confusing. I also didn't like that thing at the top of the site. Kind of annoying. But all that is just my preference. The people there though seem REALLY nice though. Possibly even more nice than the people here.

nightowl: Hehe, I agree with everything you just said. Their site is organized in a way that just doesn't fit with me. And it IS way slow. Due to too many members perhaps? I dunno. As for the "nicer" thing, I've met people here who are meaner than over there, but also nicer than over there. I just find that, in general, I can get to know people better here because they respond to posts more often here. Both mean AND nice posts. So I've just accepted DV for what it is. It ain't perfect but it's home.

My guess on why it's slow is it's either the large amount of members, or the amount of topics or both, but either way I couldn't stand it(yea, I'm impatient) I guess I didn't see the mean people then. It's just they have SOO many topics, It's very hard to see which ones are helpful and useless. I also saw some posts that you and adidas made(namely towards padfoot ) It made me laugh

That is particularly why I decided to check the site out, cause I wanted to check out how they would take Padfoot's bantering. I personally feel they didn't react 1/100th as strong as we did here, which I thought was strange cause he was equally, if not more, annnoying as he was here. They all seemed to take the situation very well, a bit too well if you ask me. I like a little conflict every once in a while, mostly with people that deserve it. Otherwise things would be much more tedious....

I'm registered there, but don't go there. Same handle. The reason I like it here is its a nicer community. Personally I found them to be less friendly, and have way too much rubbish. I find this site more scaled down. And smaller. But easier to keep track of, is friendlier, feels better to me

Absolutely right, Placebo, it is sooooo much easier to keep track of stuff here. I get completely lost over there. And I haven't been there in several days. Plus, there's always waaaaaaaaaaaay more crazy stuff going on over here. If I just contradicted myself, it wasn't intentional. I haven't slept yet.
