Thread: I Like Carousoul

I hope the mods don't find this to be an attempt at circumventing their decisions, because I'm assuming they locked the previous thread for being mean-spirited and this one is not. I was going to post in the hankwheels thread, but it got locked before I could. This being senseless banter, I figured I would just make another thread to express my opinion.

Anyways, I think Carousel often contributes a lot to discussions, he has intelligent things to say. He is sometimes a bit blunt about things, but that's needed in some cases (and he's usually right ).

As for his 'nonsense posts', I haven't seen anything nonsensical by him outside of senseless banter - which is named so for a reason.

On top of that, a lot of his posts are very funny, while still getting an intelligent point across - quite the accomplishment. Some people miss the point and get insulted, or find him too forward about his opinions, but he never fails to apologize in these cases.

Anyone else agree?

gnome, I know you have nothing but good intentions, but I think that this sort of thread is similarly inappropriate. This is too public, and I know I would be pissed/humiliated if it were about me.




P.S. Ha, all the things I miss when I go out and experience life outside DV for a few hours.

I hear you - I was going to just pm him, but I figured that the community should be allowed a chance to redeem itself publicly after that thread's crap-ness.

If the mods or Carou don't like it, they can certainly lock it. I don't think it does any harm, anyways. Just senseless banter, and complimentary banter at that

Speaking of SB, that's the thing about that forum these days... it's becoming too senseless. It's so senseless that many of the regulars just end up steering clear from it. I suppose that's a whole new topic though.

I see how this thread would be awesome if people apologized for publicly saying things about a member. But chance of that happening?

I think we all know that I admire/love Carou. He's got style, and when he's being mean, he's being mean, when he's being serious he's being serious. And he's always funny.

That said, has the person that slated Carou actually spoken to him, ever?
