i don't think i'm high or mighty, i was just responding to ignorant posts left by mis-informed people. i really think that people should check out that book. i think the whole world is headed for a huge fall, not just america. what's the point in placing trust, faith and power in a system that wont do for you what you would like it to do? why not place your trust in your community instead of uniforms and badges? we can all take care of ourselves, we don't need policing. and before anyone starts on about how crack heads or junkies would rob them if there were no police, remember that the CIA and FBI basically do all of the major drug running into the USA. opium production in afganistan before US forces went in in november 2001 was 36% lower than in 2004 (reuters). so the FBI and CIA made hat little problem, and why? profit before people.

We are the wealthiest nation in the world, and we will be for the rest of your insanely jealous life. We have saved the world more than once, we have liberated more people than any other nation, we give more than half of the world's hunger relief food, we lead the world in foreign aid overall, we stimulate world business more than any other country, we are the most powerful nation in history, and our presence on this planet deters a great deal of take over. That just means the dictatorship's extremely oppressive measures did more to stop opium production than our current measures. There is no good evidence that the CIA is responsible for drug running, and if you really understood how the FBI and CIA are run, you would know that such stuff would be impossible. The background test a person has to pass to be in the FBI or CIA are the strictest background tests in the world. Part of the job of an FBI or CIA agent is to constatly investigate the other agents. There is no room for what you are talking about. I know there are books that say otherwise, but they are wrong. The FBI and CIA are not exactly small town sheriff's departments. They have a very strong system of moles, spies, and behind the scenes investigations within themselves. That is why they are so incredibly effective.

Hey, Half/Dreaming, I really think you need to reevaluate your attitude. I mean, every other post you are ranting about America and how we are so tough, and how good Americans will beat down and smash any opressers (or opposers, for that matter) and how your self-condescending attitude towards 99.99% of the world makes you two beers short of what the rest of the world sees Americans as. Now, as long as people are getting that image, they will see all of us in that way. I really do think that a good deal of Americans really, really, really need to get off their a** and try to understand anything. I am so sick of this "whateverman" attitude that results in immidiate rejection, criticism, satire and hate of what we don't understand (or take the time to in the first place) I mean, I appreciate people who take the time to educate themselves, going out of their own way. It really makes a difference when people stop being ranting fat blobs on a couch and can be seen as being trusted with something. Now, America was not made by soldiers, please understand that. America is guarded and protected by soldiers, and if it wasn't for them there would be nothing left of the U.S. My point is people used diplomacy and reason so we wouldn't be risking American lives in the first place. It is immidiately recognizable. People know about all the mass media "stuff" like: Superheroes, flamethrowers, radioactivity, nukes, choppers, Muslims, and all the other things that barely register in their brain, like history and fine art. Ask any one of these people about Muslims and you'll hear the words "car bomb" "Osama Bin Laden" "turban" and ask any one of these people about Russia, they say "furry hats" "Communists" "nukes" ask them about China, they say "sushi" "Communists" "pandas" ask them about Bhuddism they imitate the lotus position... etc. It is the repeated mass media cliches that reach them, like how all Chinese talk funny, or that Bush has a permanent lip problem, or Muslims all blow themselves up and say "Mohammed" and "Jihad" a lot (what ever those mean AHUR AHUR AHUR I'll make fun of it anyway!) And yes, the infamous, JUST NUKE THEM ALREADY!!! comment that I am so sick of hearing, explaining, and having people forget what I said 2 seconds later when they joke over their beers about nuking the world and forcing freedom on everyone and legalizing drugs and killing all Jews.

Not to sound offensive, but there are more and more people who are amazingly ignorant.

Good post indeed, even though slightly condecending, but you told me nothing that I already didn't know. I am starting to see how I am slowly having everyone turned against me. I am constantly drawn into arguments that make me look like a dick. Also, I NEVER said to just nuke them. You have me confused with somebody else.
