The Am I Lieing Thread.

Essentially what this thread is an absurd statement thread which has to be decided true or false.

You post a statement and then ask if you're lieing followed by spoiler tags.

You may A. say something that is true.
or B. Make something up or say something that is commonly thought to be true but is false.

So you have two options; tell the truth or lie.

Example:

I got hit in the head with a machete when I was 5 years old, am I lieing?

It doesn't have to be about you though I would prefer it was something non-verifiable via the Internet. This is just for fun say anything you want...

You could say I am housing a terrorist in my bathroom closet...for all I care.

In the courts of the Roman Empire, instead of swearing an oath on a bible, men swore to the truth on their statements while holding their genitals. Hence the word 'testify', from 'testicles'.

On December 24th 1945 a man in Northcreek, Michigan had a party at his house with eleven other men. Around 2:30 am, guest Adam Deltwur lit a match underneath another guest, Earl Uckhert while he was flatulating in an attempt to create the famous fart fireball. However, unknown to any of the attendants, there had been a gas leak in this house for the last 4 days. The entire house exploded, and all eleven men were killed. The only survivor was a dog, Arnold, who had been sleeping outside the last two days and refusing to come in.

That sounds believable...only I don't know that the dog would have necessarily been kept out by the odor...where is the spoiler? hehe. Although the biggest technique in lieing is to make stupid BS that sounds consistent while also adding in inconsequential details such as the name of the dog hehe.

Sounds true, just because the dog would certainly be smart enough to stay out of a house with a gas leak. However, if the leak had been going on fopr four days and was enough to cause such an explosion, they should have been dead from breathing it by then. So I'm calling FALSE.

Locally here some time back, a man blew his mobile home off the foundation when he decided to try sniffing propane from a full tank...while smoking a lit joint. He was however unharmed for the most part.
