Thread: grammer errer fun!

You really don't have to read the document, just follow what the list says.

I've created a bogus document over Ignisium. The object of the game is to correct one grammar error and then add three more, you can add new sentences or work off of the ones provided.

1. Find an error
2. Fix it
3. Add three more errors.

Do not show what you've edited, just edit it and move on hehe.
I've provided quite a few errors in this document besides historical inaccuracies. You can make the errors as idiotic as you like. I can't wait to see how stupid it gets...

Three thousand years ago, when the world's men and women were just becoming free from the tyranny of ignorance, new ignorance arose. It is known now as the great Ignisium Blunder, named after Ignisium, the founder of the new ignorance as we call it. It is often abbreviated as “Ignisium,” few people misunderstand this expression. Of course, as we look back on it now we realize the foolishness of Ignisium and the revolution he created. When deconstructing the events that led to Ignisium you must remember three key points.

The first point is that all humans will believe what doesn’t go against what they know. You may have been told you have made your own Ignisium blunders as well. For example, a friend tells you, “I have a dog named Skip, he is really cute puppy and wears a cap.” You go on with your day and never question whether he had a dog or not. You simply accept it. Further more, since you accept the premise of the sentence, that he has a dog, you will undoubtedly accept that he wears a cap, and since he is a puppy, questioning the cuteness of such a puppy is not worth your time. This is an example of the Ignisium Blunder’s perfected control over every human. If you have no reason to question, then you will not question.

The second point you must remember is that there is no person alive who does not lie; there is no person alive that does not come to believe his or her lies to some degree. Examples of this nature are hard to create on a personal level, and indeed are difficult even to approach for yourself. Lying, an easy endeavor to prove. However, belief in a thing simply because you’ve said it, ah, there in lies a difficult thing to show to yourself. Let us use an example of someone who is not one’s self. Joe runs for track. In order to stay motivated he has told himself he will die if he does not run. He believes this, though it was a lie in the beginning, and still a lie, he has told himself this so many times it “feels” like the truth. If you want to believe in what benefits you, you will believe.

The third point is that most people are apathetic. There is no reason to provide an example.

Ignisium was a man in his lat twenties when he began to understand how easy it is to control fools. In under five years he had been able to control over three hundred weak minds. Now, his genius did not stop there. He knew that if he could control a select few’s children, and teach them to act as he did, he could control the world. He pandered to the children’s desire for power. He knew young children were not of consequence. How could he enjoy his spoils when he had such little time left on Earth if he spent his time working with infants? No. His time was spent with the hormone driven teenage boys and girls who wanted power and status.

He carefully selected the few boys and girls he knew would use his techniques for selfish gain; he taught these children every slick skill he knew. In the short process of eight months after his training the children had amassed their own armies of gullible humans.

In the end, of course, Ignisium’s empire fell down. It is only sad that the empire lasted over two thousand years before the children finally understood what spell their ancestors has fallen under. Never again will we believe the trolls are going to eat us.
