People who hang out on a Lucid Dreaming forum who don't care about the Lucid Dreaming part?

      My head asplode.

Are most SB veterans the same on this topic?

Delphinus, SomeGuy, not to pick on you guys. I've seen this elsewhere, too. But you guys were easier to quote (I was already on the page )

It's not that we don't give a fuck about LDing. There's just hardly anything that the LD topics can add. We've pretty much seen/read every idea, theory, method, etc. There's rarely anything new or innovative.

Interesting you should bring this up Wakata. While the answer probably isn't as brash as Someguy's was...I'd be willing to bet that half SB'ers don't LD or are severely out of practice. Another interesting thing about this topic...every forum (within dreamviews) has like it's own community of regs. Go into the beyond dreaming section and you'll see a great deal more members that you've never seen post once in off-topic. infact, the off-topic regs are a minority in that forum. And that's not an unoriginal case, same goes for general lucid discussion. They have a pretty tight knit group of regs that hardly post in off-topic as well. So it's like DV is like a state...and within the DV forums are many different cities . SB'ers and off-topic'ers pretty much dominate the chatroom though. Those that come in the chatroom to talk about on-topic material...await a rude awakening. Upon realizing the chat is 95% SB...they don't come back very often or sometimes not at all.

      i hear that!

but seriously, people have been poking fun at the fact for a while, ive seen people talk to newbies asking LDing related questions and ask "whats a lucids?"

also, jeff is right, DV is huge, and S/B makes up A LOT of it.

I've been getting the dreams I want without directly working on them.

and Kushna's right, there's nothing more to add or to learn about LD'ing anyway. I find the only LD sub-forums worth reading/posting in is Dream Control (for interesting techniques) and Lucid Experience (for when it's time to brag)

I agree with what Kushna said. I still love lucid dreaming, but I don't have that much to add in the dreaming forums other than accounts of my dreams. And I admit that I have gotten out of practice with lucid dreaming and don't too often have lucids to talk about. I plan to change that, and if I develop new techniques or forms of experience to share, I will discuss them in the lucid forums.

Way too much of the lucid discussions are about learning how to have lucid dreams. I know how to have lucid dreams, so I don't seek too much knowledge on it from the forums. Besides, most of the discussions there are stuff like, "i had a dream and knew i was doing something and thought about dreaming but didn't think about it being a dream lol was that a lucid dream lol?" It gets old. Replace "dream" and "lucid dream" with "OBE", and there you have the essence of the discussion in Beyond Dreaming. But silliness and heated arguments about politics and religion never get old.
How do you know you are not dreaming right now?

What the fuck is lucid dreaming? I heard some guys talking about it like a month ago and I still don't know what it is.

Maybe put something up about it in the Off-Topic.
