You're making ridiculous generalizations, as if a sip of wine is the equivalent to a drinking binge consisting of whisky, rum, vodka and a couple cases of beer. No, ingestion of alcohol is not bad for you, period. Ingestion of ridiculous amounts of alcohol is bad for you period. Small amounts of alchohol, ballpark a glass or two in a day, have proven to actually be benificial to ones health.

On the contrary, when smoking a large number of carcinogens are released in the form of smoke which attacks the lungs and goes into the blood stream and to every other part of your body.

To claim any amount of alcohol is bad for you, "period," and using Alcohol poisoning and drunk driving as your evidence is ignorant and uneducated. It implies that I'm going to need my stomach pumped after one bottle of beer, or that I'm drunk after a glass of champaigne.

Drop your strawman arguments and get your head out of your ass and actually think before you type.

Black Eagle- I agree that smoking is bad for you and it is a bad habit-of course which is the reason i am trying to quit. My argument was with that "magical kid" that said "it proves he is mature for not smoking". This fight got blew way out of proportion. I brought in alcohol because if smoking is an immature thing..then by all means you have to consider drinking an immature thing as well. Am i not right? That was the extent of my fuss about this-you cannot call someone immature because they smoke.

Alcohol beneficial? It really isn't that much. I am guessing you are citing those wine studies... What those studies don't say is a glass of grape juice is also beneficial, it's not the alcohol that is beneficial.

Also you said mature and responsible people know when to stop drinking, the same thing goes for tobacco and other drugs. So no reason to target smokers specifically. btw I dont use tobacco(maybe a little in my blunts occasionally) or drink, but I don't judge others who do...
