Probably. The main reason most people got macs(those who aren't musicians/artists) were for the limited amount of viruses, and good protection against malware, spyware, adware and trojans. They are working on it though, several viruses for the mac were already found and fixed, there is an article I kept about a compition to hack a mac, and then help fix it.

I know. They should make sure that you are on Windows before telling you that you have viruses.

I hate to burst your bubble but an IP can't tell what OS you use.

      Not quite true

Different OS's respond differently to malformed TCP packets
based on the responses you get back from specially crafted packets, you can determine an OS of a remote host

      See nmap's documentation
      http://nmap.org/book/man-os-detection.html

And I meant those IP websites, were you go to it, and it tells you your IP, country, os ect.
Like when I am on wireshark, it tells what os people use all the time.
(At my house on my network, its not like I go to coffe shops ect lol)

Which uses HTTP headers if I recall correctly, at the very least not IP Address.

And yeah Ynot that's indirect. You can't tell from an IP at all. You can tell if you -have- the IP by, as you said, malformed TCP packets or whatever, but by simply the IP alone you cannot tell. But let's (for the heck of it) say you got me there.

Also, what's wrong with coffeeshops? I go there all the time. Probably not the kind you're used to, though...
