      Lucid dreaming while feeling ill?

      Hi there
Just wondering, should one attempt to induce lucidity while they're feeling ill?
I've got a bad cough you see so I'm wondering if it'd be healthy. My throat burned a lot last night, and I don't even remember dreaming! Upsetting as for the last 6 days (before yesterday night) I've had 3 lucids and 3 non lucids (but at least i dreamt)

      So yeah
should one do it when feeling ill
does illness affect lucidity/chances of getting lucid
is it good for your health to try it while you're ill?

      Thanks!

Yes, it is perfectly fine for your health to LD while ill.

Since you're supposed to get lots of rest while sick so the body can help repair itself... taking an afternoon nap to WILD or sleeping an extra hour or two to attempt a LD in the morning would actually be good for you! If you're home sick, you not only have an excuse to dream more, but you SHOULD sleep longer than normal

Being lucid in a dream doesn't affect your physical health any differently than a regular dream does.

Can't see that LDing or the like would affect your physical health whilst ill in any way. If anything, I have had some of the best LDs and experiences while ill in the past, and with a fever. Not to sound too stupid, but I almost smile when I get a bad cold because I do get something good out of it. (Un!)fortunately though now, I had a very good diet, and I'm healthy and I haven't even had a blocked nose in the last year or so(!)

why not? If you're going to be in bed all day, you might as well turn a bad situation into something fun. Sometimes when people are passed out with the flu or a fever they report more vivid dreams.
