It looks like you figured out what the problems were: Not using WBTB, not being tired, having a cold, a position which is not comfortable enough for long periods... All of these could have contributed to the problem. |

Well, I decided to give it a shot again. I did not use WBTB, which is probably my problem. It was 1:30 and I got into bed, arranged my self into a position I thought was comfortable. I was wrong, and after 30 minutes of sitting there keeping myself awake while my body tingled, I had a bad pain in my right shoulder. It continued for an hour and my body was just a bit numb, and felt a little heavy. I gave up, opened my eyes (everything was really blurry for a moment) and got up. Well, other than the headrush, I had accomplished nothing. |

I thought it was better not to be tired so you won't fall asleep before your body? |

It's best to be somewhere in the middle between too awake and too tired. To reach the exact state which is ideal for you, you can practice different options when doing WBTB: Change the time of doing the WBTB, change the time that you stay up before going to bad, decide if you should eat or drink something ( such as chocolate, coke, coffee ). |
