      stages of sleep

if a person is getting only a very short amount of sleep on a longtime basis, how does that effect the stages of sleep?

I don't know much about the subject, but it seems you can't go through all of the stages if you only get a couple of hours of sleep per night... ?

I know that if you are sleep deprived in any way, you tend to go straight to the 4th stage or REM (Dreams). This would explain why I'm more lucid when I'm so tired, I dream right away...

But please try to eliminate all things that aren't necessary (u'd be surprised how much u can eliminate) to get the rest you need

Sleep deprivation will inevitably lead to many health problems like hallucinations, muscle problems, energy deficient, attention disorders, stress, and many, many more.

The most significant sign is micro-sleep. If you find yourself frequently nodding away to sleep and popping your head back up, you are likely sleep deprived.
