      Excessive Yawning

      Yawning, how i hate you.

      Im trying to get to sleep and trying to do some techniques to help me get my first LD. Im sititng there and all is good and im about 3/4 to a sleep then a yawn comes. now i know im fully awake. The worst part is that i can't stop yawning. I yawn probally 15 times in a half hour. Im starting to think this is more of a physcological problem because im thinking about not yawning and therefor i yawn. Anybody have tips to help me to stop yawning?

      People still don't know what yawning is really about. There were theoires about not having enough oxigen (and ofcourse some others), but I don't know the current status of these theories.

      My only advice would be "breating properly". That's what happens in the first (or is it the second) stage of sleep, when you relax your body, your heart rate slows, body temperature decreases and you start start breathing deeply.
      Try that perhaps and see how it goes. That's my only idea for now .

      I have this problem too. I dont know anyone else who seems to yawn every day. I not only yawn every day but, many times every day.
