      Overcoming Nightmares

Before I even knew about this website or that this many other people had lucid dreams, I started explained a similar idea to my friend to try herselfin order to try and change her nightmares into dreams. I think this could be a tool to try and teach people who have problems with consistent nightmares to try and prevent them or reduce the occurances. Rather than these people spending lots of money on psychiatric help.

I had constant nightmares related to a some bad stuff that happened when I was younger. I've used LDing to combat and pretty much end the nightmares. Not only have I been able to make the nightmares into non-frightening dreams, but I have also dealt with the issues that were causing the nightmares in the first place.

in the short term you learn to overcome nightmares.
in the long term, you learn to cope in a more rational-relaxed way with everyday fear.
not sure if it's a totally good thing, but it may be.
