      Why would this cause this?

I noticed that if I sleep too much, as in keep on sleeping even after I am not tired then I have episodes of SP and LD more frequently. It happened again last night! This time I had drank too much coffee and couldn't sleep. Coffee totally cracks me out LOL, if I drink it after 3pm I can't sleep. So I was meditating and concentrating on the third eye (It was all tingly how weird) and I was restful and seeing wonderful pictures in my mind but not able to slip in to LD. I finally fell asleep around 4am and I couldn't move, and then I was dreaming that I couldn't move and I'm not sure which parts were real and what was dream. I was fighting the SP though and I totally forgot to just let it take me into dreaming. I'm frustrated.

my guess is since you're rested...your body is more aware of whats going on...kinda like when people wake up an hour or so before they normally wake up....go back to sleep to attempt a LD. Also the caffeine would help you stay more aware of whats going on even though your body is sleepy and is about to embark on a journey to sleepytown, causing you to notice SP.
