      Weird sleeping patterns

I feel I have some weird sleeping patterns. At first I thought it is because of the sudden breakup I have with my ex bf last October. I would sleep, no matter what time, I will wake up at 5:20am. I would have to force myself to sleep and wake up 1 hr before my alarm rings. Even I took pills from my doctor (5 to try) still I woke up at that time. It eventually stop after December. I was able to sleep better at least up to half to one hour before my alarm. Yesterday the bad sleeping pattern came back. Instead of waking up at 5:20, this time is 4:19. I have it 2 days in a roll. BTW, I would have different dreams before I wake up at those times. There were dreams where I had to force myself to wake up. When I open my eyes. The clock says 4:19am. When I do wake up, I always feel so tired. When I get off from work in the afternoon, i will have to control myself not to take naps because I won't able to sleep at night. Is this normal? What can I do??

Exercise through out the day and keep a consistent pattern of sleep. Do not sleep in, even if you have time. Go to sleep, even if you want to stay up.. Acidic foods/drinks may wake you up and alcohol as well. Drink little caffeine before sleeping.. If you sleep with a tv on that can wake you up.

That's all I have, Gl, good night.

taking naps is not a bad thing if you can afford them...

When i wake up after a dream it's exactly the opposite for me cause i usually feel very refreshed.

problems with sleep are very common when you are under more stress than normal so i think it having to do with your breakup is likely.
