      Is lucid dreaming healhty?

Are they? obviously we dont do it naturally, so its got to be that way for a reason, well at least for the majority of the time... so when we do, could it because of a glitch in our minds, and it really shouldnt be happening because were are dreaming for a reason, and being unconsious of ourselves actually doing that is benefiting us, or the benefits are required for us to remain unconsious?

I don't see any reason why it would b unhealthy. While I'm not exactly sure if it would alter anything while we are sleeping, at least a good night of lding can lead to a big emotional boost during the day.

Yes, it is perfectly healthy. (Unless, of course, you go to some unhealthy extreme to get them, such as altered sleep schedules.) A lot of people have them naturally, without even knowing what they are. I, for one, used to have them ocassionally as a child, way before I ever learned about them.

Plus, LDing can be used for many purposes that would actually increase your health. They can eliminate stress and get rid of nightmares, among many other things. Some psychiatrists even encourage their patients to try LDing as a way of therapy.

I don't see any way it could be bad.
Lucid dreaming is just having control over your dreams.
      Like your better at them.

Why is LDing not natural I should ask? Just because most people don't know how to excercise part of their minds?

Careful with that mind-set Xena, it could keep you closed to alot of things.

It could be argued that meditating is not natural, or yoga, or even long division done in ones head! (Hehe.) Exploring a new part of your mind should be embraced I would think. I see your apprehension, but I don't think it should be considered unhealthy or unnatural because it seems abnormal. It's only abnormal based on our culture- not our biology. Other cultures, some ancient cultures even- practiced lucid dreaming as a normal and accepted activity/meditation. To them, there was nothing unnatural about it.

In the end, your dreams are just your thoughts. Whether you are aware of it or not, your dreams are in essence the same thing. Unless there is something that I am missing. Please bring it up if I am, but I don't see what I would have overlooked.

Lucid dreaming is from all natural, 100% corn-fed cows who were free to roam around on grassy, open fields... exploring their endless possibilites... as cows...

Sorry to sound like a dick... but...

I think it's unhealthy to walk around all day and through one's dreams not even being aware whether or not one is dreaming.
