      RLS in my whole body... SP?!

      Alright, so I did the search for RLS (restless leg syndrome) I saw a few threads on it, they were quite old and not really about my situation.

      This is what happened this morning...

      I got woken up at 4:20am (my alarm goes off at 6:20) Well then the onset of RLS hits me hard. But, its not just in my legs, it is all over my body, from my face to my arms, to my stomach muscles down to my toes. At first it feels almost pleasant, but then the awful tingling and creepy crawling feeling takes over.

      After much tossing and turning I notice the clock now says 5:32, ughhh. I get up, put my alarm back to 6:45, drink some water then try to sleep again. Then, almost immedietly I fall into a limbo sleep and I become completely paralyzed. I think, ok this is SP, just relax and soon you'll be dreaming. Well, it becomes very painful, something is pinching my chest, hard. My muscles feel like they are going to rip apart and explode. I want to move so bad but I can't, I stay calm and keep saying it's all in my head, then I hear my alarm go off and I wake up....

      OK sorry for the long explanation, here's my question...

      Has anyone else felt this full body "RLS"? Or was this not RLS at all but the beginings of SP? The feeling was similar and I wonder if there is a connection.
      I've had SP for 5 years now and have always had occasional spells of RLS (i've felt it in my whole body once before this time). I don't know if anyone can answer, it just really freaked me out and was very unpleasant but I do think it would aid in LDing if I didn't have to get up so early, I guess i'm just really wondering about the connection of the two...

      I've had that a few times before when I've had SP, usually accompanied by the feeling of a "presence". It kind of feels like every cell in your body is tingling.

      Thanks for the reply. I guess not a lot of people have expierienced this. I too felt the presence, which I know is SP. What I experienced before SP was what got me, oh well....

      Hello, I am currently experiencing the same thing too.. In fact, all I can seem to find is RLS - which is the closest thing that describes how I feel. Unfortunately RLS only talks about leg movement, or the urge to move your legs.

      I feel the urge to stretch, and this obnoxious need to get up and move around. Sometimes during the day.. if I try to sleep I have to stand up and move around, sometimes cleaning helps. I get the urge to flex my wrists, my arms .. legs and neck Its the worst feeling ever! I try to stay away so that i don't notice it because im too tired to feel it- but most likely i find myself waking up several times a night, twisting and turning. My husband gets irritated because I have to move my leg- so sometimes I'll lay on the floor and stretch until i feel the sensation has stopped long enough for me to fall asleep.

      Do you know what causes this? I am having blood work done because I've also been having weird skin sensations ( sun burn feeling ) having to take Ibuprofen because I'm sore and tired. Not sure if these symptoms are all related one underlying thing, but... I guess I'm wondering- What can I do about getting a little relief so I can sleep.. it seems to be a vicious circle. I need a good night sleep :*(
