      Can't Dream

I can't dream at all, at the most all i can do is remember a faint thought. I don't think I can dream at all because I can't visualize at all. If i concentrate for like 10 min i can see a pic of something really generic for like a sec. Is there something i can do to learn to visualize/dream?

Well then you should contact a sleep laboratory somewhere. I'm sure they'd love to hook a bunch of electrodes up to your brain because you are probably the only person in the world that can't dream.

Assuming that you can dream and just can't remember them, you should start keeping a dream journal and writing down your thoughts that you do remember in it. Read it before bed and focus on how you want to remember your dreams as you are falling asleep. See if a few weeks of that doesn't help.

So write it down and quit your bellyaching. I am terrible at 'visualizing' as well and I have all sorts of vivid dreams. write down what you remember and the rest will come. Quit telling yourself that you cant.

visualizing is not up to you, your brain is perfectly capable of doing it, and it is doing it.
PhilosopherStoned is right, start up a dream journal. after a while you will remember every single one. I haven't kept mine up in a while and now I haven't been able to recall a dream in months.

It is highly rare to be not able to dream at all and that is considered as a brain damage. I doubt you have that. It is pretty much about your sleeping habits and your personality as a whole. Do you sleep irregularly? Are you too tired when you fall asleep? Have you always been like this?

It is most likely just a problem in your dream memory and recall.
Jujutsu is the gentle art. It's the art where a small man is going to prove to you, no matter how strong you are, no matter how mad you get, that you're going to have to accept defeat. That's what jujutsu is.

Everyone dreams its the dream recall that madders, you may think you never dream but most likely its just that you do not practice on what counts, remembering it, i recommend starting a dream journal, I used to think the same thing but I am remembering more dreams per night

I agree with what's been said...

You can dream, you just don't remember it. Start a journal, and focus on remembering your dreams before you go to sleep. Dreaming is something we do naturally, you don't need any mental training to learn HOW to dream, you just need to get in the habit of remembering what your dreams are.

The easiest way to start is when you're really tired and already to go to sleep; tell yourself that you will remember all your dreams, that you will wake up after each one and write it down. If you do this long enough (hopefully untill you fall asleep) You will wake up at least once or twice at night and remember a few of the dreams you had.
