I've been having this problem for a while now as I go to sleep, and it's been keeping me from carrying out any kind of lucid activities. After I close my eyes, I imagine my room, and the dimensions of everything are obscenely skewed. It's nigh impossible for me to imagine my bed being the right size in relation to the washing machine (I sleep in a laundry room), or to imagine the ceiling of my room not being being incredibly high or unimaginably low. The dimensions will actively stretch and shrink in my mind, and it bothers me that I can't imagine them properly. I end up opening my eyes, looking around to get the proper dimensions, then trying again. It doesn't keep me from falling asleep, but it keeps me from being relaxed enough to drift into a WILD or something comparable.
I've read that it's a common occurence while falling asleep, and it never happens while I'm awake. The fact that it's common means that I assume someone on the forums will have experienced it! Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
I'm not asking for a remedy or anything, just for people to let me know if they've had any comparable experiences.
