      OK phone (blackberry) question...

      I know nothing about this stuff, so please bear with me...

      Okay so I'm going to need a new cell phone soon and I want a blackberry bold (seems to be the best of the blackberries and no thanks I don't want an iphone). However, I'm going to be needing it for a year in New Zealand... but for some reason their prices are THROUGH THE ROOF, regardless of whether you purchase the phone with a plan or not.

      So my question is, would it be possible to buy the phone in the States where it's cheaper and use it like normal in NZ? Or if I buy it in NZ, would I be able to use it elsewhere after my year there is up?

      I think it depends on the carrier. I don't think you'll be able to use a phone you buy here in NZ though, sorry Mes. You'll probably be able to use the phone in NZ, but have to change providers which means a termination fee here and a new registration fee there.

      I get ur number when you get the new phone right?
