Yeah it only displays the first 4KB which is 4000 characters

      There's a splitter available online

There's a bunch of really cool things you can do to iPod notes

And I tried rockbox, it was okay but it made my iPod really hot

Thanks everyone. I have been trying to do it manually but I thought there was a better way.

Does that mean the batteries were overworking too? Like, I found in my experience, it is good to defrag your Ipod harddrive every once in a while so it doesn't run hot (searching for data) and waste the batteries.

      Thanks again everyone.

Yeah, but rockbox is meant for supernerds who have all their music in .ogg vorbis and .flac. There's some other cool things you can do like run other programs, but it's really not practical.

Hrm, that's actually a pretty good idea. I'll try that

Yeah, it's cool. All you have to do is: Sync off (erase disk), sync on (resync all files). It is only useful if you are constantly updating, adding and removing files from your library. And that includes the little bits of data such as album art and artist/categories/notes/lyrics etc. You shouldn't need to do it that often though...
