Yes you can keep it on all the time (I used to) but try and keep it cool if you can, it's never too good. If it did get ludicrously hot, then you would have to turn it off and consider over options. |

I'm terrified of unplugging my NETGEAR DG834G Wireless Router (802.11g) because I'm worried it will lose its settings. I've heard it has an internal battery, so it keeps its settings, but how long does that last? Am I being rational? Is it OK to keep it on the whole time, even though its very warm? |

Most Routers are prone to loosing Sync and you have to turn it off anyway to resync the network. |

I'd have thought all routers store settings on flash memory, along with it's bios |
