      Riddle me this!

I was plugging in more RAM, I booted my PC, and my USB2 Hub stopped working. It says This device cannot start (Code 10). Now, it probably doesn't have to do anything with the RAM, because well, plugging in more RAM can't possibly break USB hubs (can it?), but I thought I'd mention.

Let's see, the hub does work outside of Windows. Like when I have my iPod plugged in at boot, my PC doesn't boot (it shows some weird shit on the screen). But when I have my USB hub plugged in (with my iPod on it) and I boot my PC, it shows that very shit - Meaning the hub isn't broken. It also works on other PCs.

Sooo it must be something in Windows. Any clues, anyone? I tried uninstalling it completely (ie forgetting it has ever connected), then reconnecting it, but it doesn't work. I have this other USB1 hub, and that works. I tried plugging it into different USB ports, doesn't work.

How did you uninstall it exactly?

Device Manager -> Right click -> "Uninstall".

Err, it seems that Windows (Vista) thinks that my USB2 root hubs are regular USB 1. (although my motherboard clearly says they're USB2)
