I have the Verizon EasyPay.
Much like a regular plan except it is prepaid. You have a monthly bill and can pretty much do anything a normal customer can. I love it. $70 a month, no contract, and I almost NEVER run out of minutes between buying ringtones, messaging and more.
One of the best things is, is that if you have a Verizon phone, go to the store and youdon't have to buy a new one. They can change the plan on your current phone.

If I was incorrect on what you meant, and you were actually refferring to what kind of phone ('cause I am stupid maybe lol), I would say anything but a V3c (first edition Razr). It has given me nothing but problems.

Your new CELL CPU! 8 cpu cores, makes one of the most powerfull CPUs in the world.

Do NOT get a KRAZR. They're buggy and have lots of hardware problems.

The big question is, what do you need your phone to do?
WAP?
Picture/Video?
Mobile IM? (Does anybody use that, anyway?)
Flip phone?
Music player?
MicroSD expandable?

Other than that, if you don't really need lots of features, I'd just go with one of their free phones. They're almost impossible to kill, and you don't have to pay to replace them. They just work.
The more features you add, the more likely your phone will have issues.
But if you want all the features you can get (short of a smart phone) while keeping the most stable/usable phone available, I'd say get one of the LG VX8300's.
Mine has never given me problems, and it's got mobile WAP, mp3 capabilities+external controls, MicroSD compatible, video and picture capable with a nice 1.3 MP camera and good lighting/image quality, plus Get it Now (Which, in my humble opinion, isn't worth SHIT.)

Unfortunately, almost no Verizon phones come with Java capability, using BREW instead, so if you plan on putting games on your phone, ditch Verizon and get a new carrier.
