(or anyone using Gnome & Nautilus)
paste these 2 lines into the console
Code:gconftool-2 --type bool --set /apps/nautilus/preferences/show_desktop false
Then press Ctrl+CCode:/usr/lib/xscreensaver/glmatrix -root
To revert back, type
Then press Ctrl+CCode:gconftool-2 --type bool --set /apps/nautilus/preferences/show_desktop true && nautilus
*edit*

I'm surprised they don't have an option to do that in the XGL setup. Every other major operating system can do that, even Windows.
