I'm guessing here (without more info, it's about all anyone can do)

but I reckon your graphics card isn't supported by Vista

but double check that drivers are up to date (windows update? does that do graphics drivers?)

Do this:

1.) Download DirectX 9.0c

DirectX 10 has 0 backwards compatibility.

NOTE: You can run both versions ciultaneously on your machine without conflict.

Control Panel -> System

Check it in the device manager. Easiest way to get there is type in 'device manager' in your start bar. It should be under graphics controllers.

I have vista too... just type in "dxdiag" (no spaces) in run... and click on the display tab.
