Need some help with a new laptop.

Hey guys, recently i bought a laptop from a friend and reinstalled windows so i could use it and not use my big computer.

The problem is, when i try to play a certain game it says:

The game cannot execute until the problem is dealt with:

Please make sure:

DirectX 8.1 or higher is installed on your machine.

Your Video Card Drivers are up to date

Your Video Card is malufunctioning.

I installed DirectX 10.0 and I would just go download the new driver, but i dont know what my video card is. That is my question, does anyone know how to find out what video card i have on my machine?

Or does anyone else have anything they can tell me to help with my problem?

i cant find the model, it is an IBM Thinkpad laptop, but the model is not on the casing, unless you can find it somewhere else on the computer?

well,
I'm guessing here (without more info, it's about all anyone can do)

but I reckon your graphics card isn't supported by Vista

but double check that drivers are up to date (windows update? does that do graphics drivers?)

Do this:

1.) Download DirectX 9.0c

DirectX 10 has 0 backwards compatibility.

NOTE: You can run both versions ciultaneously on your machine without conflict.
