How easy is flash to use?

I know of some things that are really great thats been made in flash.

I do want to start my own little mini-anime series so thats why I am looking forward to buying a tablet. But I also want to know how easy is it to use flash?

I mean could I just do everything in flash and not use photoshop? Or what?

Anime? or do you mean manga? Cause I didn't think PS could animate.

But go for it. It doesn't take long to learn.

Flash is easy to use but can be difficult to learn. It doesn't take long to learn, but it can be confusing at first. Once you understand how to use it, it's actually really easy to work with. And yes, you could do it all using only Flash. It has sufficient drawing tools to allow you to animate entirely in Flash; Almost every Flash animator only uses Flash for their animations.

There are probably tutorials you can find, but I never had to use any. You can learn basically everything just hitting F1 and using the help files.

You can get it from any academic discount store for $245. This company is about 30 minutes away from my house, I don't know if they ship outside of the state. Any academic software site should have the same price anyway.

If you want it cheaper than that, you'd have to pirate it.

I don't want to do that

And even $200 is to much for me...

Maybe I can somehow get my school to start a flash animation class or something...

Southpark is done in Photoshop as well as the wings for the tasks of the month here at DV.

If you want it dirt cheap then you'll need to sign up for a graphics course at college. I have a legal copy of PS and it cost me $0

I'm sure they have the same deal for Flash since it's the same company.

You can actually get it off ebay for quite a steal. Unless they've cleaned it up. Get the trial off the adobe website to try it. You get a free 30 days.

Easy to use? Painfully so. Once you understand the timeline (keyframes, tweens) and movieclips you're all set.

Is it easy to animate in general? Hardly. It's gonna take alot of time unless you a) resort to primarily tweens b) just don't make the characters move all that much
